Sterling Emerling - Communications

Sterling Emerling joined the Risen Homeschooling team with an excitement to see how God uses this conference to encourage moms toward increasing everyday faithfulness. As a homeschooling mom of three, she is continually grateful for her local homeschooling community, and she hopes and prays this event fosters that same spirit of togetherness and encouragement. Sterling brings her experience working in marketing and communications for nonprofit organizations to the team.

Precious Johnston - Conference Coordinator

Precious Johnston began Risen Homeschooling with a passion to minister to and encourage Christian homeschooling moms. She wants to help other homeschooling moms find their hope in the risen work of Christ. She and her husband are both second-generation homeschoolers and have homeschooled their two elementary age children for the past six years. She is a pastor’s wife and the leader of a nature adventure group in Indianapolis. 

Erin Githiru - Guest Experience

Erin Githiru is a homeschooling mama of two with a heart for community and encouragement. In her fifth year of homeschooling, she loves creating spaces where moms feel seen, supported, and reminded that they are not walking this journey alone—because Christ is faithful to walk with us every step of the way. Her years in missionary work and the inner city have shaped her deep love for cultural community.
